Who are invisible audiences..
As the name simply suggests,, they are audiences who wouldn’t want to be seen or even be heard and these are mostly online audiences. They are however on the contrary your biggest fans even though they pass through your work without leaving any kind of visible mark that they were actually there. They cheer you up silently going through your works diligently even without commenting but secretly following you all the way everytime and giving you that thumbs up in secret. They would even be the ones that look forward to seeing what you bring forth day in day out.
I am that person who always checks for analytics in the platforms I make posts to. Analytics like how many people have my posts reached out to, how many people have seen those posts, how many have liked or reacted in any way, how many have commented etc. Of course the numbers usually change with the highest being those that see, followed by those that like or react, followed by those who even attempt to make a comment. At times the biggest question is how to reach more of the bigger number that see but don’treact, actually react by giving a comment instead of following silently.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with them following silently because they are the ones who are always looking forward to seeing what you are going to post, what you are going to communicate and they are just happy being in their space following you in silence. If any thing keep posting, in whatever platforms because the silent followers are your most loyal fans and most likely they are moved by your consistency and mostly they are the ones who will probably reach out whenever they need anything from you because they have observed your level of commitment and consistency.
If you are an invisible audience, there is no pressure to move to the visible space. We are acknowledging your presence and more so in appreciating that you are actually following silently. It’s like those silent partners in a business who will give part of their contributions to enable the business run and share in the overall profits as long as they are not actively involved in the operation of the business but contributes to its success too.
That’s the role that the invisible audiences play too. In as much that they may never show or reveal themselves to you, they are always there behind you, behind every move you make, some may reach out privately incase they feel a need to. Actually some even give feedback or criticise you positively and that way allows you to even keep learning, keep growing keep improving. They act like those godfathers we have praying for you silently and always wishing you well. Invisible audiences play major roles in enabling you be better in one way or the other. Because they are the fans that never show but secretly clapping and wishing you all the successes in the world. In whatever you do, online or not, be weary of the fact that you have invisible audiences and be assured that even if they don’t react in any way they are still supporting you and that you can always sort of rely on their support if need be.
