Hola,, Happy new year. With the birth of a new year everyone almost yearns for everything new,..
New Jobs , new finances, new businesses, almost every part of our wellbeing would love to be new. Even possibly acquire a new body even. This is the time we are reviewing our goals for fitness. Like how we are now ready to embark on the journey of weight-loss and healthy eating. Basically we are trying to either do new things or make new things do. The first month of the year usually looks like a plan. Or an outline of how you would like to go through the rest of the months from January all through to December. It’s normal wanting to do this. It’s normal feeling obligated to do it even when you don’t understand why you are doing it. It’s a new year isn’t, everyone resolves to be better and fresh.
Apart from fitness goals, some will be looking forward to new chapters of their lives. How they will change not just careers but names too. Even spiritual goals are thoughtfully thought through during this time. It’s January, only God knows what sins you could have committed over the blessed December month and hence it would not only seem just appropriate but also fair to align your spiritual goals too.
Lots and lots of things happen in January. Some even have plans of how they will offset their debts. The debts that we could have either knowingly or unknowingly accumulated during the spends of the holiday. Or it could be a culmination of the accumulated mobile loans that we borrowed to fund our Christmas and New years spend. All manner of debts, even the shylocks are also hopeful..
We are all wise in January. Not just wise but focussed too. We are all starting on a clean slate afterall. We all have another chapter to write our story anew. Our story for the new year. Hoping, praying and wishing that it gets better than the previous one, or better still make it your best year yet.
Why we need to be resolved…
Everything that we have planned for ourselves, regarding our new years resolutions, let’s purpose to be true to even accomplish just one bit of the many items on our lists. It could even be that item number 15 that’s number last on your resolutions list, that says drink water often, or do daily brisk walking, or read two chapters of the Bible every day. As minute as they may be, doing them daily or even occasionally will account for something eventually. And it would make your long list worthwhile afterall. You will appreciate that you even made the list and even attempted item 15 of it and you were diligent and deliberate about it.
We are in this together. Even your writer here is going to do the same and I will purpose to make myself and you accountable for what I intend to achieve this year. Most importantly I would wish to write more here to encourage, advise, critique, bless,, to express not just my thoughts but yours too. Happy 2021. May this year be your most fruitful yet… 😍
